Day 1 – Make good choices!

Day 2 – How do we choose?

How do you make decisions? Prudence is about trying to do the right thing and making thoughtful choices, but there is science behind this too. Have a watch of this and see if you can spot anything that makes sense to you…
It’s step three that’s really important to us. We believe the Jesus can be that critical friend, and that prayer is a way that he can help us make decisions. Through listening to scripture and understanding what Jesus would do, and then turning to him in prayer, we can get help with major decisions.
This morning – if you want you – we want to give you some time to think and pray. Sometimes people call it meditation or mindfulness, either way it’s about taking time to give bandwidth to the things that are on your mind.
Use the music below or spend some time in silence, bow your heads, get comfortable, close your eyes and have a think or a pray about a big decision that you’ve got to make.
Lord, help us to turn to you when we need advice, or guidance. Help us to also be a good friend to those around us and help us to guide them to make prudent choices in their lives.

Day 3 – Make a decision.

You will need a sheet of A4 Paper or you can use your scrapbooks.
Being prudent is not just about thinking, it’s about taking action.
Having had time this week to think about how we make decisions and what we can use to help guide us in those decisions, we want you to make a pledge as a form to take action for the good of others.
It could be a pledge to visit the fair trade tuck shop – or to volunteer to make nexts week living word video?!
It could however be a pledge that each person can do individually, something like making the effort to use your time prudently to learn something new of take care of someone in need.

Lord, help us act for the good of others, and discern how we can use what we have prudently to benefit the world around us.
